Service Learning

1. Complete Service Hours. Service can be complete with local agencies, community programs, social/political/religious agencies, class/advisory projects, etc. Basic criteria for qualifying credit include:

   • Addresses a need in the community.  When volunteering, we would like you to consider not just the immediate action you are completing, but also the larger ripples.  How will what you do today make something better tomorrow?

   • Service is provided free of charge (If you received payment for the service, it is a job, not community service)

   • Services like babysitting for siblings or household chores will not be credited. These are jobs we hope you will still do as contributing members of your families :)  HOWEVER, if you happen to be volunteering for a family member’s project or event, that is acceptable.  If you are unclear if a family event qualifies, please contact BAA Administration for clarification  

2. Log hours in Innerview.  After completing each event, logon to your account at my.innerview.org. This is also an important step, completion of this form for each event is how you are officially submitting your hours for credit. Make sure you include your supervisor’s contact info and name, so your experience can be verified.
