The BAA Family Council
The Boston Arts Academy Family Council is a group of dedicated parents and caregivers of current BAA students. The Council is the hub of a school-wide family support network and also provides a valued source of information for families. The Council advocates for family priorities as a unified voice, both at the school and district levels.
Your SY 25–26 BAA Family Council Representatives:

- Janina Rackard – Family Council Co-Chair & Board of Trustees Representative
- Weddee Henry – Board of Trustees Representative
- Fabienne Eliacin – Board of Trustees Representative
- Jennifer Cosgrove – Board of Trustees Representative
- Ashley Schafer – Co-Secretary
- Galen Moore – Co-Treasurer
- Soraya Harley – Co-Treasurer
We are also seeking representatives for the following roles:
- Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SpEdPAC)
- District English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)
- BAA Citywide Parent Council (CPC)
Meeting Schedule
The Family Council meets on the last Tuesday of every month. Meetings are held via video conference (Zoom) and are open to all parents. Video conference links and meeting information are sent out in the Head of School’s Weekly Message to Families, ahead of the meeting.
