Rimi Mallick

Studio Art Teacher

Rimi Mallick holds a Masters in Art Education (2022) and BFA in Animation (2018) from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She has worked as an animation instructor and administrator for the MassArt Youth Programs since 2018. She has also worked as a teaching artist with the ICA Boston, bringing digital art workshops through the lens of contemporary art to public schools around Boston. Working with immigrant communities, as an immigrant herself, is at the center of her current artistic and teaching practice. Her work involves visually speaking about the experiences of being an “other” / “outsider” in the US and works to encourage and make space for her students to do the same. Ms. Mallick joined the BAA community last year as an intern and returned this year as a full time Visual Arts and Design teacher.
