Chris Lee-Rodriguez is a music educator teaching artist (META) based in East Boston, MA. He holds a Bachelor’s of Music from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s of Music from Boston University. Chris, known by his students as Mr. Lee-Ro, has taught music in both public schools and through non profit organizations for 11 years. For three years, he has served as a Boston public school teacher, first at the Donald McKay K–8 and now at Boston Arts Academy as the Music and Multimedia teacher. In addition to his work in BPS, he has served as a teaching artist at the East Boston nonprofit organization Zumix since 2015. Through his work at Zumix, he was a participant of the Mass Cultural Council META Fellowship. Prior to Boston, he has taught for various districts and nonprofits in Massachusetts and New York City, including Highbridge Voices, Midori & Friends, and Brookline school district. Outside of his educator career, Chris is an active musician. He has released critically acclaimed albums through his former band, Really From, and has performed at sold out shows at local venues, including the Sinclair, Big Night Live, and Crystal Ballroom.
