Atiera Smith is a dedicated School Counseling professional with a decade of experience supporting students across the Greater Boston area. She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education, with a concentration in School Counseling. With deep ties to the Fenway community, Atiera is honored to return home and bring her expertise to BAA, supporting students as they pursue their college and career goals and envision their futures.
Atiera is deeply committed to creating an empowering, inclusive, and supportive environment where every student feels seen, valued, and equipped to thrive. She believes in helping students identify their strengths, explore their interests and aspirations, and develop the confidence and skills necessary to pursue their goals. Her approach centers on fostering students’ academic, personal, and artistic growth while ensuring they have the guidance and resources needed to envision and achieve their futures.
In addition to her work at BAA, Atiera serves as an affiliated faculty member in Boston College Lynch School of Education’s Master of Arts in School Counseling program, where she contributes to the preparation of the next generation of School Counselors. The program prepares counselors to serve as leaders, advocates, and change agents who apply evidence-based practices to remove barriers to learning and promote the positive development and well-being of children and adolescents.
