Ana Carvalho has worked in the field of youth mental health for over 10 years, including 6 years as a school social worker. She is passionate about supporting students and families to navigate barriers to school functioning and expand access to mental health support.
As a first generation immigrant from Brazil, Ana is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese and highly proficient in Spanish. She brings her language and multicultural skills into her practice to highlight and incorporate what matters to students in their home lives.
Ana is also passionate about supporting neurodivergent students to fight against ableist spaces and leverage their strengths to live in their full identity.
Ana holds a B.A. in Child Development and Spanish and an M.A. in Child Study and Human Development with a concentration in Clinical Developmental Health and Psychology, both from Tufts University. She also holds a Masters in Social Work from the University of Chicago and is licensed as an LICSW in Massachusetts.
