About Alexander Zapata


Alexander Zapata joins the Boston Arts Academy Foundation as Director of Alumni Engagement & Giving, bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience across finance, education, and sports management. A proud 2008 graduate of Boston Arts Academy, Alexander went on to earn his MBA from Suffolk University, where he now serves as an Adjunct Professor of Business.

Before joining the Foundation, Alexander spent over a decade in the financial sector, serving as Vice President at Citizens Bank, where he led strategic growth initiatives and community engagement efforts. He later transitioned into sports management, Co-founding Z-Axis Sports, with his wife and fellow BAA alumna. Z-Axis a leading agency representing top Latino athletes and negotiating major brand partnerships.

Alexander has also served on both the Boston Arts Academy School Board of Trustees and the BAA Foundation Board of Directors, reflecting his deep commitment to advancing the school’s mission. In his new role, he is dedicated to strengthening alumni connections, celebrating their achievements, and building a vibrant, engaged BAA community that continues to inspire future generations of artists and leaders.
