Audition Requirements

Theatre applicants will be asked to perform a short Monologue at their scheduled audition. Your audition will consist of a short monologue of one-two minutes maximum. This monologue must be memorized well. Student should select a monologue only from the provided list of monologues HERE. 

For your audition, please choose a piece that is dramatic in content and show a sense of character. You should decide who you are talking to and play ONLY ONE character. Movement and body language should be included, but only if it fits with the content of your chosen piece.

Attire

Though you should wear something that you think the character you are playing would wear, please do not buy anything new for this. Instead, we want you to think about who the character is talking to, what the relationships is between them and the environment that they are currently in. The answers to those questions should lead you in the right direction of what you should wear as the character.

Callbacks

After your audition, you may be invited to attend a live callback. Receiving a callback does not mean that a decision on admission has been made, it simply means the panel wants to see you one more time before coming to a final decision.

Theatre callbacks are designed to gauge your enthusiasm for the art as well as your response to criticism and taking direction.
