Happy New Year, Boston Arts Academy Community. 

I hope this bulletin finds you and your loved ones healthy and well. 

As we enter this new year, we are once again mindful of maintaining our communication with our community as best as possible. A reminder that BAA students are expected to return to school on Wednesday, January 5. We are aware that other BPS schools return on Tuesday, January 4, but BAA teachers have a retreat on that day. Our students return Wednesday, January 5.

Students who received a rapid testing kit before the break are asked to please complete the test 24 hours before returning to school on Tuesday, January 5. If the test says that you are positive for COVID, please stay home and communicate the result with the school. Everyone should follow the home health checklist guidelines: link.

We are still awaiting word on whether students who were absent before the break and did not receive a rapid testing kit will receive them before January 5. We also anticipate that there will be new Covid protocols coming from the district. We will send an all call out on Monday, January 3 with updates.

2022 will bring many wonderful happenings to our school community. I hope we all can focus on the positive amongst the challenge. I am excited by the college news we're hearing, and I look forward to the prom, graduation, and Six Flags trip for our amazing class of 2022. I look forward to introducing our freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to our new building in the Fenway. 

And I look forward to seeing our students back again on Wednesday, January 5!
