Scholarships / Special Funds
There are many rewards to giving but none as rewarding as knowing you’ve made a difference in the lives of young people. Making a gift to the Boston Arts Academy Foundation today is simple — and every gift helps us support the future of Boston Art Academy’s diverse, hardworking and talented students.
David Josef Creative Vision Scholarship
The David Josef Creative Vision Scholarship is launching this year to support an emerging fashion student whose work reflects bold creativity, craftsmanship, and vision. The scholarship celebrates students who demonstrate a strong artistic voice, a commitment to their craft, and the potential to make a meaningful impact in the world of fashion and design.
Created in honor of David Josef’s passion for creativity and innovation, the scholarship aims to provide financial support and recognition to a student pursuing fashion who shows exceptional promise and originality in their work.
The Legacy of Kyre Scholarship, was established in honor of Kyre Ambrose who was a star student at Boston Arts Academy and graduated in 2023. He chased his dream all the way to Los Angeles, where he enrolled in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in dance. His dream was taken from him in the early morning hours of Jan. 4, 2025. This scholarship was established as a legacy to make sure that other dancers had that opportunity to experience what Kyre started to experience. The goal of the scholarship is to support dancers of color who wish to pursue a BFA in dance. The priority is given to male dancers of color, however all dancers of color who are looking to pursue their BFA in dance are welcome to apply for this scholarship.
Alumni Lifeline Fund
The Alumni Lifeline Fund is a new initiative launched by the Boston Arts Academy Foundation (BAAF) Alumni Chapter to provide timely, short-term financial assistance to BAA alumni facing unexpected hardships. The fund aims to offer a community-driven safety net for emergencies such as housing instability, medical crises, or other life disruptions that threaten stability. Assistance will be modest, capped, and distributed through a simple, confidential application process prioritizing dignity and quick support. Our goal is to ensure no BAA alumnus feels alone during tough times, reinforcing the lifelong bonds of our creative and resilient community.
