Gifts-in-Kind

Boston Arts Academy Foundation welcomes non-cash gifts in support of the school. Gifts-in-kind are typically given to support our fundraising efforts, such as silent or live auction items, event production, or marketing, or to directly enhance the school, for example, musical instruments, art supplies, or equipment. When you notify us of a potential gift, BAAF will review it with the President and CEO of the Foundation to ensure it aligns with our priorities and engages the school community. We will acknowledge your gift with a letter describing the item and its intended purpose.

If you plan to take a tax deduction for the gift, you are responsible for obtaining an appraisal, as neither BAAF nor the President and CEO can provide tax advice or declare the value of your gift. Receipts alone cannot serve as proof of value unless the item is new and in perfect condition. Internally, BAAF may record the value of the gift for our records using comparable items and guidance from knowledgeable staff.

“BAA was a place where I was able to embrace my individuality and become part of an amazing, talented and supportive community that will last a lifetime. ”
