We're thrilled to have John and Victoria join us as co-chairs of the 2023 Champion's Committee.

About John:

John H. Dozier joined MIT in 2020 as its new Institute Community and Equity Officer (ICEO). John previously served as Chief Diversity Officer and senior provost for inclusion at the University of South Carolina.

“Arts education is important because it helps students develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. It also allows students (and the audiences that experience their work) to express themselves and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them.  As such, there has never been a more important time for our investment in arts education.  And that is done uniquely well at the Boston Arts Academy.”

About Victoria:

Victoria Dozier, a member of BAAF's Advisory Council, has over thirty years of experience in both business management and engineering. She is the co-owner and creator of The Language Buzz, Inc. – a world language-learning program that offers online language classes in Spanish, French, and Mandarin. Prior, she worked at Schneider Electric corporate headquarters as the manager of channel development and as a piping specialist at BP Amoco’s Purified Terephthalic Acid plant.

“I am excited to be a part of a community that will enable Boston students to achieve a high quality visual and performing arts education.  Educational spaces like Boston Arts Academy will help break the barriers that bind and divide us as human beings.”
