BAA Honors 2022
BAA Honors 2022 will celebrate the grand opening of the new, cutting-edge performing arts building & BAA's 25th Anniversary!
BAA Honors is Boston Arts Academy Foundation's signature annual event and largest single source of funding for Boston Arts Academy - with a $2.5M goal.
Join us to celebrate 25 years of transformative arts education and raise critical funds to ensure Boston Arts Academy continues to offer educational equity and life-changing opportunities for generations to come!
BAA Honors will be held in the brand-new BAA school building in Fenway.

6:00 PM – 11:00 PM | Black-Tie Attire
The evening will begin with a cocktail reception featuring student spotlights, followed by student performances and a live auction in the Theatre
Guests will be directed to a seated dinner, featuring remarks from Honorees, in themed dining rooms
To close out the night, Greg Groover Jr., former Chair of BAA’s Music Department, and other well-known Berklee faculty and musicians, will perform as a tribute to Terri Lyne Carrington, the 2022 Music Honoree, in the Theatre, followed by a DJ and dancing on the Rooftop Terrace overlooking Fenway Park

In 2020-2021 School Year:
53% of students lived in Dorchester, Mattapan and Roxbury
Students are accepted from all 23 neighborhoods of Boston
91% of the 482 students identified as Black, Latinx, Multiracial or Asian
56% of students come from economically disadvantaged families
35% entered 9th grade reading below grade level
33% spoke another language than English at home
17% have documented learning challenges, requiring additional instructional accommodations
97% were accepted to college
Programs:
30% of students participated in BAA's state-certified Career and Technical Education programs Fashion Technology and Design, and Visual Communications
30 juniors and seniors took classes at BAA and at local colleges, earning high school and college credit as part of BAA's Dual Enrollment program with the ProArts Consortium colleges
Summer Reading Program and Summer and Saturday Math Program were offered to help students achieve grade-appropriate reading levels and math proficiencies

What is the Leadership Circle?
The BAA Honors 2022 Leadership Circle is a volunteer group of individuals passionate about the arts, arts education, and Boston's youth. The group plays a key role in helping BAA Foundation achieve an ambitious $2.5 million BAA Honors goal that helps the school's 500 students get an arts-intensive education at no cost to them. BAA’s educational model works: 97% of BAA’s students are accepted to college.
Each Leadership Circle member is asked to donate and/or secure donations totaling $25,000 or more. This can be achieved through sponsorships, ticket sales, live auction items and more. Specifically, Leadership Circle members can contribute to their give/get by:
· Buy/Sell seats to BAA Honors ($1,000 each)
· Buy/Sell sponsorships (starting at $10,000)
· Buy/Sell program advertising (starts at $1,500 an ad)
· Secure online donations
· Donate or secure high-value auction items
· Secure Leadership Circle and Auction Committee members, and,
· Raise visibility of BAAF, BAA and BAA Honors.
