Dr. Dance earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from William James College (MA) where he concentrated in African and Caribbean Mental Health and Child and Family psychology and completed his American Psychological Association accredited predoctoral internship at the renowned Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology. He has spent most of his career in community based mental health, hospital, and human service settings. In 2019, Dr. Dance founded the Mental Health ACCESS (Advancement of Culturally Competent Education to Stop Stigma)—a mental health career exposure and psychoeducation paid internship program for youth of color.
