Chris Flaherty

Chris Flaherty is a sixth year teacher at the Boston Arts Academy. Before BAA, Chris attended Tufts University, where he studied Math and Economics and received his MAT in teaching. At Tufts, Chris was awarded with Mary Ann Mulcahy Service Award in Education and was a member of the Noyce Fellowship for the past five years. In 2015, he was chosen as a National Geographic Fellow and and in 2017 was selected as one of Boston City Council’s Top Educators.

This upcoming school year, Chris will be teaching math and Seminar 9, as while as serving as a music advisor. Chris also chairs the 9th grade seminar team and leads Intersession, a school-wide project week in January.
