Carlos Perrett is a seasoned philanthropic leader with nearly a decade of experience driving transformational revenue growth and building mission-driven partnerships across the nonprofit, corporate, and education sectors. He currently serves as Vice President and Chief Philanthropy Officer at the Boston Arts Academy Foundation, where he leads all fundraising strategy and donor engagement efforts in support of Boston’s only public high school for the visual and performing arts.
Carlos brings deep expertise in college access and success, having held senior development roles at Bottom Line and OneGoal—two of the nation’s leading organizations supporting first-generation college students. He began his career at EMERGE, a Houston-based college access organization that empowers high-achieving students from underserved communities to attend and graduate from the nation’s most selective colleges.
Known for his strategic mindset and results-oriented leadership, Carlos has a proven track record of building high-performing teams, exceeding multi-million dollar targets, launching innovative giving models, and aligning fundraising efforts with organizational growth and mission impact.
Carlos earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Studies and Spanish from Pitzer College, where he later served on the Alumni Board. He also holds a certificate in Strategic Leadership for Organizational Success from Bentley University.
A proud first-generation college graduate and Houston native, Carlos now lives in Brookline with his husband and their French bulldog, Cooper. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading, volunteering with the Emerald Necklace Conservancy, and exploring Boston’s cultural and green spaces.
