Laura joined Boston Arts Academy Foundation in November 2018 as Managing Director. She has more than 20 years of experience in development, marketing and communications for hospitals and nonprofit organizations, including Massachusetts General Hospital, The Dimock Center, and Pine Street Inn. She most recently served as Senior Vice President of Resource Development at United Way of the Greater Capital Region in Albany, New York.
After graduating from Swampscott High School, Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from Brandeis University. She has served on numerous Boards of Directors, most recently with Historic Albany Foundation and the Gift Planning Group of Northeastern New York.
Laura is delighted to return home to support the artist-scholar-citizens at Boston Arts Academy. She and her husband Peter Perry enjoy cooking, dining out, and spending time with their Boston Terrier, Daisy.
