Message from BAA Head of School Anne Clark
Good Evening, Boston Arts Academy Families,
Congratulations to the Class of 2025 for a very successful 9th grade orientation! We were really impressed with the freshmen, and we look forward to all they will contribute to BAA over the next four years.
When I met with new students during orientation, I talked to them about "beginning with the end in mind." It's an expression we use often, particularly as artists, that means whenever you begin an endeavor, you should think about how to set yourself up for success in the end. I asked the students to envision a successful first semester, a successful school year, and a successful four years at Boston Arts Academy. I then asked them to think about the daily routines, choices, and commitment they will need to achieve that success.
All of us are coming back to school after a few years of interruption. We know that our students may need support getting back into the habits they need for in-person school. Next week advisors will begin reaching out to students to check in with students. Part of their conversations will include talking to students about what they could do now to set themselves up for success for the first day of school Thursday, September 9 at 8:00 am.
