Gurer Burchill brings 8 years of experience in the education field with a background in teaching, curriculum design, and project management. As a PMI-certified project manager, she has spent the past 3 years leading initiatives in Nobel Learning PBC — an edtech startup that helps bring 21st century leadership and digital skills to youth around the world. Prior to this, Gurer worked as an educator, teaching math, life science, and English in K–12 settings. She loves being inspired by and learning from youth. She brings a strong desire to contribute to the best example of high school arts education in the City of Boston: Boston Arts Academy. Gurer grew up in Mersin, Turkey and holds degrees from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, NM as well as Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey. Currently, she is a proud Southie resident, where she can be seen taking her dog on long walks around the Castle Island. She is thrilled to join BAAF and to support the BAA mission as of January 2024!
