2021 June Graduation: Info for Guests, Grads, and Performers

Date: Thursday, June 17th, 2021
Gates Open: 3:00 pm
Ceremony Time: 4:00-6:00pm
Location: Fenway Park | 193 Ipswich Street. | Boston, MA 02215
Entrance: Gate B – It’s the entrance right in front of our new building
With special guest Darryl “DMC” McDaniels as our Commencement Speaker!

*If you are bringing a bag, it must be 5 in x 9 in or smaller, no balloons, no confetti, flowers are allowed, one bottled water per person is allowed, umbrellas are allowed. Must wear a face mask*


1:30pm – Seniors who are singing during the graduation ceremony. Arrive at Fenway Park Gate B (193 Ipswich Street, Boston, MA 02215) for tech rehearsal.

2:45pm – ALL seniors arrive at Fenway Park Gate B (193 Ipswich Street, Boston, MA 02215) to check-in and prepare for the processional.

Additional Notes:

  • If you are a Graduate with Distinction, are graduating with Service Honors, or are graduating with Honors in the Arts, please bring the cords that you will receive on Monday, June 14th when you pick up your cap & gown and tickets to the graduation!
  • Gates will open for families and guests at 3:00pm.

  • Everyone enters through Gate B. It’s the entrance right in front of our new building. GPS address: 193 Ipswich Street, Boston, MA 02215.
  • Guests will enter through Gate B and walk across the concourse to the bleachers, and go up to their seats.
  • Students and staff will enter through Gate B, take a left and walk down the concourse, and line up to process in once the ceremony begins at 4:00 pm.
  • Everyone will need to go through the metal detectors.


  • Each student will receive 10 guest tickets on Monday, June 14 (pickup between 5:00 pm-7:00 pm).
  • You must present the physical ticket to enter Fenway Park.
  • You will keep this ticket with you so you can access the ceremony program through the QR code that is on the ticket.
  • It’ll be important to know in advance if anyone (student, staff, or guest) has mobility challenges. We need to assign them and their party accessible seating. Please email Ms. Rivera at lrivera@bostonartsacademy.org if you have a request.

Seating and guests:

  • The ceremony will take place in the right field bleacher sections 40 – 43
  • There will not be assigned seating but there will be a designated seating area for guests

BAA graduation will be carried live on Boston Neighborhood Network on channel 9 Xfinity, channel 15 RCN, and 2161 on Fios. As well as streaming live on http://guide.bnntv.org:8000/CablecastPublicSite/watch/1?channel=1
